eTIMS invoices for transport services: what clients should know

How our electronic tax invoices work and what you need to claim input VAT.

Kenya Revenue Authority requires businesses to issue electronic tax invoices through its eTIMS system. Here's how invoicing works with Arex Spectrum.

  • Each invoice lists the jobs it covers, with dates, job references, your PO numbers, routes and amounts, plus VAT.
  • The KRA eTIMS control number is shown on the invoice. This is what your finance team needs to support input VAT claims.
  • Contract clients can receive one invoice per week or month, instead of one per job.
  • Invoices and statements are always available in the Client Portal, and you can print or save them as PDF.

Make sure we have your company's correct name and KRA PIN on your account; ask your account contact to update it if it changes.
